Conservation Education

The Brown County Soil & Water Conservation District is dedicated to empowering our community with the knowledge and tools needed to protect our natural resources. Through hands-on conservation education and innovative programming, we engage residents of all ages in learning about soil health, water quality, native plants, and sustainable land management. Our outreach includes school programs, workshops, field days, and community events that demonstrate real-world conservation practices. We partner with landowners, teachers, and local organizations to promote responsible stewardship and provide access to technical assistance, cost-share opportunities, and educational materials. From youth education and outdoor learning experiences to adult training in land and water conservation, our goal is to inspire informed decision-making that supports a healthy environment.
